Individual Counselling
Welcome! My name is Tara and I provide counselling to people who are struggling with issues such as anxiety, depression, stress, emotion regulation, grief and loss, low self-esteem, relationship problems, difficult family dynamics, sexual violence, life transitions, racism/racial trauma, and trauma/PTSD related to childhood or adulthood.
My approach is client centred and is based on anti-oppressive and trauma informed principles. I believe in empowering my clients to build on their existing strengths and providing them with the skills and tools they need to resolve their concerns successfully. I am dedicated to providing a safe space for my clients to explore and process their feelings so that they work towards greater self-awareness, self-compassion, and self-acceptance, which I believe are all key to emotional healing. I recognize that culture plays a major role in people’s lives and problems, therefore my approach to counselling is one where cultural factors can be comfortably discussed and respected.
